IDZFAN IS 32

My husband is 32 (16/11/2007). A few weeks before his birthday, he was complaining about how surprised he was when he saw a white hair on his head. He was asking whether they are more to grow (may be….)
Our ritual on his birthday is just dinner and I’ll give him present. Last year I don’t even get him anything accepts for a bouquet of flower which I ordered from http://www.blooming.com.my. For the first time after 5 years of marriage, I would like to do something different about his birthday. So I plan ‘a surprise birthday party!!!!’

Things to do
1. Call Mama and daddy inviting them to the party
2. Call Ijun (sister in law) and parent in law
3. Invite
i. My friends
ii. His Friends
iii.Neighbors
iv.Relatives (andak n family, atih n family, ida n boyfriend)
(Total number of invitee approximately 30)
4. Food
i. Nasi Lemak
ii. Sambal sotong, ikan bilis goreng, telur
iii. Roti jala & kari ayam
iv. Bubur kacang
v. Fruits
vi. Cookies from last aidilfitri.
vii.Lemang and rendang ( sponsored by parent in law)

It was funny though went I invite my friend to the party, they start asking

Friends : party apa nih
Me : Birhtday Pan, maila… lepas maghrib. It is supposed to be a secret jangan pi tanya dia pulak
Friends : kena bawa hadiah ka…
Me : hehehe tak payah la… tapi kalau nak bawak pon boleh
Friends : Macam mana nak surprise? kami kena parking kete jauh2 ka…..?
Me : Ish tak payah la sampai macam tuh..mai macam biasa la….

And that Friday morning I was really busy preparing all the food and I pray that he don’t turn up early that afternoon. I manage to talk to Ismat a week before his birthday (My husband office mate and close friend), I ask him to invite their office mate and colleague.

That evening when he arrived at home, he noticed abundance of food on the table (though I had hide some of the food), and my answer to his question ‘ sajala.. masak banyak satgi atih n andak nak mai, mama suruh depa mai dinner kat sini’. He seems to believe it.

It was 6.45 p.m I need to prepare the table, rearrange chair but he is still chit chatting with my daddy. After a hard force asking him to take a bath, at 7.00 p.m he went up to take a bath and maghrib prayer. I quickly rearrange everything, with the help of my maid and my brother.

Puzzled strike on him again when he sees me properly dress up with head cover. I just smile, then Ayu arrived with his husband, next kartika arrived with her family, then our neighbor arrived. He start asking ‘ sapa lagi nak datang… ‘Invitees start to come hugging him with a birthday wish… With a smile I said ‘happy birthday..sayang party ni untuk abang la…’

This year I gave him a birthday party and shoes. Happy 32 sayang.. may all your dreams come true.
